BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Overview
DNT Environmental Services Inc. (DNT) is a nationwide provider of environmental services that include soil and groundwater remediation; hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, transportation and disposal; landfill and disposal cell construction and maintenance; construction, installation and operation of treatment systems; construction site management and quality control; industrial services; and transportation and disposal of regulated medical waste. DNT aims to deliver safe, quality services to our clients while adhering to our core principles and high standard of business ethics. DNT is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team. This is a full-time salaried position.
Business Development Manager – Atlanta, GA
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the management and further development of existing accounts as well as the development of new business opportunities for DNT. This role will report to the Vice President of Operations with dotted line reporting to the company President. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Manage, develop and expand current client relationships
- Routinely identify and develop new client relationships with measurable revenue streams
- Identify potential business ventures for growth opportunities within existing client base as well as expanded areas of business and communicate these to senior management
- Routinely network within the industry to develop potential prospects and opportunities
- Manage administrative requirements for interaction with clients such as vendor database entries; vendor certifications; marketing and search service registrations; agency specific applications, registrations, and certifications
- Participate in events such as trade shows and conferences for the purpose of marketing the company’s services
- Participate in company strategy planning, department budgeting, and revenue target development
- Manage business development operations to meet revenue targets and defined metrics
- Perform presentations to prospective clients describing company’s services
- Participate in the proposal process for new projects and opportunities, including developing proposal documents and submission of completed proposals
- Identify, develop and manage teaming relationships with key partners and subcontractors critical to the pursuit of specific clients or lines of business
- Attend site visits and pre-proposal conferences as necessary in the pursuit of business opportunities
- Work on-site at project locations as needed in support of the field services teams
- Develop, maintain, and implement marketing tools such as graphics displays, brochures, Statement of Qualifications, website, and marketing and exhibit signs
Qualifications
- 5+ years of business development or sales experience
- 2+ years of environmental industry experience
- Strong knowledge of the environmental and industrial services industry
- Outstanding client management skills
- Proven history of delivering strong growth and/or sales results
- Existing environmental industry client contacts a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, Internet)
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- Demonstrated capability of developing, implementing and managing strategic plans for marketing and business development
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Knowledge of Federal solicitation, proposal and contracting operations a plus
